Experience the Art and Culture of Cuba with the LAII

November 18, 2013

The LAII is thrilled to announce its first trip to Cuba, made possible through its People-to-People license which allows community members to participate in educational trips to Cuba.

Through a partnership with UNM's Continuing Education, the LAII is offering a unique opportunity to experience "Art & Culture of Cuba." This 7-day trip (April 5 - 12, 2014) will feature discussions with working artists and leaders in community-led dance, music, environmental and agricultural programs. Participants will experience museums, the beautiful architecture of Old Havana, and the biosphere reserve of Pinar del Rio.

After being virtually closed off from the U.S. for more than 50 years, Cuba and its people capture our imagination. Join us as we learn about the art, culture and ways of life of Cuba as we meet and interact with its citizens.
